While traveling throughout Berlin, I have realized that they value public spaces. This is factored into the design of the city and I feel that it definitely has an impact of the people. I feel that there are two things that people value, social interaction and mental euphoria. Besides creating little pockets of identity, these public spaces afford for meeting grounds amongst the community and for individual intimacy. What I enjoy most about Berlin's public spaces is that there is a closeness to nature. This seems to be accomplished through the use of wild and manicured elements within nature. In the end, I would say that there seems to be a greater connection between the people and their land.

James. You really are a bit heavy on the narrative. Need to pare it down a bit, don't you think?

I know, I just feel that I need to first observe before making any quick judgments.
ReplyDeleteIn time there will be a summary.
